1. The first step is to pray that God will prepare your heart and provide insight.
2. The second step is meditation.  There are several ways to meditate on a passage:
   1. Picture it in your mind
   2. Emphasize different words
   3. Paraphrase it into your own words
   4. Personalize it by substituting your own name into
   5. Probe it with questions; remember the SPACEPETS acronym.
